FAQ
Refund & Return Policy
At Letsgo Asian Supermarket, we are committed to providing our customers with quality products and service.
This Refund & Return Policy applies to purchases made at our Queensland stores and is intended to operate in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and applicable Queensland laws.
-
We do not accept change-of-mind refunds or exchanges.
This includes, but is not limited to, situations where a customer:
* has purchased the wrong product;
* has changed their mind;
* no longer requires the product;
* does not like the product;
* has found the same or a similar product elsewhere at a different price; or
* has purchased more than they require.
Change-of-mind returns, refunds or exchanges will not be accepted for full-price, sale, clearance or promotional products.
This policy does not affect any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
-
If a product is faulty, defective, damaged, unsafe, or otherwise does not meet the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, please contact or return the product to our store as soon as reasonably practicable, preferably within 7 days of purchase, together with the original purchase receipt.
Providing the product and receipt within 7 days will assist us in promptly assessing and resolving the issue.
For faulty-goods claims:
* proof of purchase will be required;
* the original receipt is preferred;
* the product should be returned where reasonably possible;
* our staff may inspect or assess the product to determine the nature of the problem; and
* the remedy provided will depend on the nature and seriousness of the problem and the customer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where a product has a major failure, the customer may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement.
Where the failure is not major, we may provide an appropriate remedy, such as repair or replacement, within a reasonable time.
-
For food safety and hygiene reasons, fresh, chilled, frozen and other perishable products are not accepted for return or exchange due to change of mind.
This includes, but is not limited to:
* fresh meat;
* seafood;
* poultry;
* fresh fruit and vegetables;
* chilled products;
* frozen products;
* bakery products; and
* prepared or ready-to-eat food.
Where a food product is spoiled, contaminated, unsafe, defective or otherwise does not meet applicable consumer guarantees, customers should contact us and return the product as soon as reasonably practicable.
-
Customers are responsible for following the storage and handling instructions provided on the product packaging after purchase.
For products requiring refrigeration or freezing, any deterioration caused by improper storage or handling after purchase may not be covered, subject to the customer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
-
Customers are encouraged to check product descriptions and date markings before purchasing.
A product purchased with a clearly disclosed short best-before date cannot be returned due to change of mind.
Products displaying a use-by date will be handled in accordance with applicable food safety requirements and consumer law.
-
Sale, clearance and promotional products are not eligible for change-of-mind refunds or exchanges.
However, discounted products remain subject to the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
A sale or promotional price does not remove or reduce a customer’s legal rights if the product is faulty or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee.
-
For a refund, replacement or other remedy relating to a faulty product, we may request reasonable proof of purchase.
The original receipt is the preferred form of proof of purchase.
Other reasonable evidence of purchase may be accepted where appropriate, such as a relevant transaction record or payment record.
-
Original packaging is preferred where available, particularly for product identification and assessment.
However, original packaging is not required where its absence would unlawfully restrict a customer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
-
We may reasonably inspect or assess a product before determining the appropriate remedy.
A claim may not be accepted where the problem was caused by misuse, accidental damage, improper storage, failure to follow product instructions, or other circumstances for which the store is not responsible, subject to the customer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
-
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed using the same payment method originally used for the purchase, where reasonably practicable.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
-
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
Where there is any inconsistency between this Policy and a customer’s non-excludable legal rights, the applicable law will prevail.
IMPORTANT
NO CHANGE-OF-MIND REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES.
For faulty or defective products, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable, preferably within 7 days of purchase, with your original receipt.
This policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
